SOAR bagged a total of 10 medals in the Richfields Archery Olympians Cup 2024 held last September 21-22, 2024, at the Villar Children’s Farm, Las Pinas City. In the two-day event, notwithstanding the rain, the mud, and the puddles, our team took home 2 golds, 6 silvers, and 2 bronzes.
Gab Africa and Sachi Kato saw action on the first day. Gab won the bronze in the Qualifying Round (QR) and the silver in the Olympic Round (OR) of the U13 Recurve 10m. Sachi, on the other hand, got the QR silver and the OR bronze in the Beginner Recurve 15m.
The following day, it was time for our archers competing in the longer distances. Edward Lamberte finished with the QR and OR silver medals in the Compound Open 50m. The SOAR x HAP (Historical Archers Philippines) teamup fielded Dianne Llanes, Iraya Barsana, Nathan Gatmaitan, and Cerlene Paras in the Traditional Open 70m. Dianne took both QR and OR golds, while Iraya got the silver medals.
It was, indeed, another winning weekend for Team SOAR!
